How To Write A Book – Day 7
I just finished writing the first draft of my new book on How To Be A Cruise Ship Speaker. It took me all afternoon and into the evening, but it’s finished, and I’m pretty happy about it.
Exactly 1 week ago I sat down at my laptop with the idea of this book in my head and now it’s coming out of my printer, page by page as I write this. Pretty amazing.
Most speakers put off writing a book for years and for what?
Waiting to carve out a chunk of time to write it? I just wrote this in about 20 hours of spare time between gigs this week.
Waiting for the right idea to come along? You know what, if tomorrow I think of a better idea for a book then I’ll write another book, simple as that.
Waiting for a publisher? Hah! That’s the biggest excuse of all. You don’t need a big city publisher to get your book out there for you. These days you can self publish quickly, easily, and inexpensively. IN the next couple of weeks I’ll show you how.
If you’re a speaker and you haven’t written your own book yet it is costing you business.
You must have your own book to be considered an expert in your speaking niche. The longer you wait to write it the greater the chances that someone else will. Don’t wait. Get mad, get inspired, get motivated, whatever it takes. Just get going.
A Great First Step…
